Man Arrested in Kuwait for Desecrating Quran
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A man was taken into custody in Kuwait for insulting religious sanctities.
The man, said to be an “Asian”, was arrested by police after a video clip featuring him desecrating the Quran was shared online.
Kuwait’s interior ministry in a statement said the man has violated the country’s religious values.
It said he has been handed over to judiciary officials for legal proceedings.
The ministry called on all people to respect religious values and the country’s laws.
Kuwait is an Arab country in the Persian Gulf. Islam is the main religion of the citizens of Kuwait.
